IN HOUSE WORKSHOPS - Maximum 6 to a class - $60 + cost of your choice of beads

Choose from our fabulous range of beads & findings to create your own masterpiece in 3 hours, no skills required, no ongoing workshops or classes. Your finished piece will be limited only by your imagination! And you'll be able to RESTRING your own broken jewellery.
As a Mayagems Member, you can come in any time we’re open, buy more of our beads & sit at our table to make more masterpieces.

Bead Stringing Workshops

Our aim is that you have a good time, make friends, unleash your creative genius and go home with a piece that you are proud to wear.

We wont do your design for you, neither will we tell you if anything is stylistically wrong?. But we will encourage you to find your hidden creative beat and stretch your creative boundaries. We will tell you a bit about the fascinating history of beads and their place in history. Then we will reveal the simple elements of design, and show you how to string and finish your piece.

Our beads are rare, unique and unusual, and we want your finished piece to reflect that. Dont be afraid to choose a bead that may seem as expensive as a t-shirt becuase you are making something that people will want to talk to you about and when you are finished, you will have something of real value and importance.

You can join any class without prior experience. However, working through the levels consecutively will build on your knowledge & skills.

1 - crimping & clasps, 2 - loops for pendants & earrings 3 - knotting for larger, dynamic pieces, 4 - knitting with beads, 5 - Amulets make a personal statement.
